Bukit Batok Nature Park Article
17 March, 2009
A ex-class mate of mine suggested to visit Bukit Batok Nature Park and we took a few hours walk in the nature park during one of the working days in the late morning to early afternoon. It was a leisure walk with beautiful nature scenery and we spotted some butterflies and a White Crested Laughing Thrush and other birds.
We also visited the site (a series of steps) of one of the fiercest battles fought against the Japanese army leading to the Japanese occupation and there is a book resting on the steps. We went a little further by visiting also the Ford Factory.

Taoist Temples in Singapore
1 March, 2009
Made a trip to Thian Hock Keng Temple last week. Thian Hock Keng is one of the oldest and the most important Hokkien Temples in Singapore. While I was there, I over heard that Thian Hock Keng building was built without nail. A very beautiful and interesting place for a visit.
I have tried to capture some images of this awesome Taoist Temple, but to realise that I may need to visit it for the second time to capture better quality pictures. I will also try to put up evening images of this Temple at SingaporeShots.com at a later convenient time.
Anyway, here are just two of the Temple images:
