Happy New Year!

I am not a pet lover nor someone that likes insect, lizard, fish, dog, crocodile and etc. Interestingly, while I was in HortPark and Bukit Batok Nature Park, I took some nature pictures of a creature that look somewhat like a lizard.

Here are the photos:

Walked along the Kallang Riverside on Saturday and there was a 10km Dragon Boat Race from Kallang Basin to/from Marina May, racing through the Marina Reservoir.

Here are some of the image captured during the race.

Had an opportunity again to walk through the Hilltop Walk and Forest Walk at night more than a week ago.

Forest Walk at Night

I posted up a similar Forest Walk photo to SingaporeShots.com sometime back. I took this picture using a different lens and kinda like this better.

There are green and blue light somewhere at the bottom of this picture. Somewhere on the right, you should be able to see blue. I failed to understand how these lights come about. According to some friends, these are just some kind of reflection.

Walking up from one end of Henderson Waves up to Mount Faber. I could have ventured further to Marang Trial too, knowing that there is no light on Marang Trail path, I backed out. Anyway, beautiful Singapore Skyline.

Made a trip down to Forest Walk, Henderson Waves, Mount Faber Point in the evening yesterday. This time, I was using a different lens and trying to understanding this lens better.

For the Part 1 series, it’s again Henderson Waves:

Visited Henderson Waves yesterday in the late afternoon. Managed to capture some Henderson Waves Bridge day and night images. On my way home, while cruising through the Forest Walk at night, I managed to also capture two images.

Here are some of the Singapore Photos for your viewing pleasure:

I am a little happy because the photos I took during this trip to Henderson Waves were much better than the ones I previously took. Mainly because, I used a DSLR camera this time round, instead of the compact digital camera that I conveniently previously.

I am still learning, experimenting, and understanding more about the DSLR camera that I am now using.

Anyway, please visit SingaporeShots.com to see the latest Henderson Waves photos. Don’t miss out the other Southern Ridges images too.

Singapore By Night Photos

13 January, 2009

Singapore is really beautiful at night. I’ve put up some of the Singapore By Night photos that I’ve caputured in 2008 and early 2009 at SingaporeShots.com. They may not be the best photos, but they definitely represent that special moment in time.

Here are some of the Singapore By Night photos. Enjoy!

Henderson Waves Night Photos

26 December, 2008

Another visit to Henderson Waves in the evening few days ago. This time, I brought with me a D-SLR camera trying to capture Henderson Waves night images. It was meant as a testing or training as I am not familiar in using D-SLR cameras.

Anyway here is one un-edited images of the bridge. The photo will look much nicer if you see it in a larger view.

These are the first set of must-visit bridges(vehicles and pedestrains) in Singapore. One of the must-see attractions in Singapore.

First on the list is the Henderson Waves bridge. This is the highest pedestrian bridge in Singapore with beautiful curves. A really beautiful sight in the evening and at night. One end of the bridge connects to Telok Blangah Hill Park and the other end connects to Mount Faber Park. Take a stroll with your loved one this weekend evening and walk up to Mount Faber and enjoy the spectacular skyline view of Singapore. Or too cruise through the HillTop Walk, Forest Walk, Alexandra Arch, Flora Walk and HortPark at other side of the bridge.

Second on the list is the Anderson Bridge, one of the historical bridges in Singapore. This bridge is worth your attention because it was part of the Singapore F1 race track. All F1 vehicles race through this bridge in September 2008 during the world’s first Formula 1 Grand Prix Night Race.

Anderson Bridge

Third on the list is the Esplanade Bridge. The Esplanade Bridge is about 3 minutes walk from Anderson Bridge. At both sides of the bridge, there is a pedestrian walkway, one side, you’ll see the Esplanade Park, Anderson Bridge and the river that leads to Boat Quay and Clarke Quay. The other side, you’ll be able to see Esplanade, Merlion Park, Marina Bay Promenade, the Floating Platform and the Singapore Flyer. This is considered one of the best place to catch NDP on water performances and fireworks. The Esplanade Bridge is also a Singapore F1 Race Track.
